If for some reason you cannot attend either one of the volunteer calls, contact the Music Production Volunteer Coordinator

What Perks can I earn on a Music Production Crew?
Hide
Music Production volunteers for the most part, will receive an All-Event Badge, plus receive a special music production t-shirt and production bag.
All-Event Badge: Access to DFEST Music events, including showcases, panels, and the kick-off party.
Badge holders will be able to pick up a Conference Bag. Venue access is subject to capacity and age restrictions.
What are the hours that I will have to work?
Hide
Most Music Production Crews will work between 6pm and 2am. Some crews, like the Production Tech and Production Labor crews will have schedules based around load in and load out times of the sound systems. The Outdoor Stage Crew will be scheduled around the times that shows are going on at the stage as well as additional shifts for load-in of outdoor festival stages.
If I want to work on a stage crew, do I get to pick which venue I work in?
Hide
Venue assignments are made, as much as they can be, based off of your music preference. Returning volunteers get first rights to return to the same venue they previously worked in. You can suggest which venue you would like to work in but it cannot be guaranteed.
Do I have to work in the same place each night?
Hide
Yes and No. If you work on a Stage Crew, you will be assigned to one venue and will work in that venue each night. Working on a stage crew will give you more of a chance to choose where you work.
If you work on the Production Relief Crew, you will work in a different venue each night within a specified region. You will have the ability to request a certain region, space allowing, but you will not be able to request which venues you will work in each night. These crews do the same job as stage crews.
Special Venues, Production Tech, and Production Relief Crews tend to work in an "as needed" capacity so they may or may not work in the same place each night.
Do I have to work both nights of the music festival?
Hide
Yes, you will be required to work both nights of the music festival.
Our volunteers are expected to put in a lot of time during the event. We are depending on everyone to show up on time, ready to work all their scheduled shifts. A hangover is not an excuse to miss a shift, and we don't take kindly to no-shows.
If you're the type who wants to see it all and do it all during DFEST, we strongly recommend that you just buy a badge or a festival wristband.
